Louis Reinke
Louis was
inducted into the Army in November of 1955. Louis underwent basic
training at Ft. Smith, AK and was assigned to HQ Btry 553rd FAB in Ft.
Sill, OK. in February 1956. In July 1956 he was transferred to Germany
with
Operation Gyroscope and was stationed at the 553 FA Bn at E.L.
Kasserne Darmstadt, Germany. He returned to the US in Sept 1957 and was
assigned to the Ready Reserves until 1959 and then served in standby
reserves from 1959 to 1960. His job title was HQ Btry Aviation Mechanic with HQ Btry 553 FA Bn.
